Hwange National Park is vast and fascinatingly diverse – each day brimming with new stories and adventures in the making. During a guided game drive, visitors can enjoy a ringside seat as some of Africa’s most renowned wild residents continue to exist and flourish in their own reality show. Throughout the year, Hwange National Park also offers regular sightings of the Hwange Elephants, many of which can be viewed at fascinatingly close quarters. Our custom-built open-sided seven-person safari vehicles offer comfort, panoramic viewing, dedicated and knowledgeable safari guides and refreshments on board. Traditionally, game-drives take place early morning or late afternoon. They can also be timed to coincide with an unforgettable sundowner at a perfectly chosen spot in the bush.
The Night Drive
A uniquely specialised activity, which is not permitted within the boundaries of the Hwange National Park but can be done within the camp concession – A night game drive is the ultimate in safari excitement. Leaving the lodge after dinner, you will be provided with warm bush blanket and embark on a discovery of the creatures of the night. An exclusive domain of predators such as lions and leopards, and the only time when you can catch a glimpse of some elusive nocturnal creatures such as bat eared foxes, jackal, hyena, spring hares, bush babies and owls. Your vehicle will be equipped with a powerful hand-held lamp, which can be used to sweep the bush for movement and sightings – giving a rare glimpse into the nocturnal theatre of the wild.
